WHS Presents Disney's The Little Mermaid

The Weiss Fine Arts Department is excited to announce our 2019 musical, Disney's The Little Mermaid!

Show dates are December 12th - 14th @ 7PM in the Weiss Performing Arts Center.

Our box office will open at 6:00PM each evening.  Tickets are $5 for students/senior citizens, and $10 for adults.  Seating is General Admission, so get there early to grab the best seat!

CASH AND CHECKS ONLY - At this time we cannot accept credit cards.

Weiss Howliday Festival

Come get into the holiday spirit by joining us for the first Weiss High School Howliday Festival! 

ADMISSION: 1 canned food item per person 

The Weiss Howliday Festival is an evening of holiday performances featuring our band, choir, dance, and theater students.  We will have performance spaces set up in the cafeteria and library, and will be alternating performances on each stage throughout the evening.  

We will also have holiday themed booths set up in the main hallway during the event.  These booths will host holiday themed food, activities, as well as local vendors.

We are currently selling our 2019-2020 school year theater department shirt!  Order forms are due by Friday, November 1st. 

Weiss families have the opportunity to purchase our newly designed department t-shirt, or long sleeved Weiss Theater warm-up/tech shirt, or our very comfortable Weiss Theater jogger pants.

Meet the Weiss Theater Students of the Month for September 2019

The Weiss Theater Department is excited to introduce our Students of the Month for September 2019.  Please help us give a round of applause to these fantastic theater students!!

Freshman Select

-Austin McKeller-

Austin was chosen as the Freshman Select Student of the Month for; always having a positive attitude, for consistently doing exceptional work both in discussions and on stage, and for being a mature leader during class. Thank you Austin for setting a great example of what we’re looking for out of the 2023 class! 
 

Technical Theater One

-Ashlynn Waeltz-

Ashlynn was chosen as the Technical Theater One Student of the Month for; exhibiting a strong work ethic in class, taking time with her artwork and creating quality designs, and producing a professional Tech 1 Portfolio in the 1st 9 Weeks.  Thank you Ashlynn for setting a great example of what we’re looking for in all of our Weiss Theater students! 
 

Theater One

-Tobias Reyes-

Tobias was chosen as the Theater One Student of the Month for; making big choices during class activities, for a great work ethic in his academic work and on stage, and for encouraging positivity in class. Thank you Tobias for setting a great example of what we’re looking for in all of our Weiss Theater students! 
 

Theater II-IV

-Jacqueline Baxter-

Jacqueline was chosen as the Theater II-IV Student of the Month for; being a leader of her scenes in The Billy Plays, for always putting in 100% of her knowledge into her work, and for encouraging others in her class to do the same. Thank you Jacqueline for setting a great example of what we’re looking for in all Weiss Theater students! 
 

Advanced Technical Theater

-Freddie Demps-

Freddie was chosen as the Advanced Technical Theater Student of the Month for; bringing enthusiasm and a smile every day, taking ownership of the fall play scenery build, lending a hand during Power Hour in the final push to complete the set, and creating a very professional portfolio in class. Thank you Freddie for setting a great example of what we’re looking for in all Weiss Theater students! 
 

Theater Production & Musical Theater

-Erica Cortina-

Erica was chosen as the Theater Production/Musical Theater Student of the Month for; being a role model of positivity and strong work ethic to all of her peers, asking for more directing responsibility during the fall play, creating the Cele Theater social media, planning the Cele Literacy Night performances,  and for always being a driving force in collaboration for the WHS Theater Department. Thank you Erica for setting a great example of what we’re looking for in all Weiss Theater students!
