Meet the Weiss Theater Directors
Jennifer Patin
Ms. Patin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Dance and from the University of Houston with a Masters in Theatre Education. During her time at UT, Ms. Patin performed in numerous dance productions as part of UT’s Dance Repertoire Theatre Company. She also performed in numerous musicals her first two years of college at Texas State University where she started her education as a theatre major. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree, Ms. Patin owned and operated a dancing studio for 26 years before becoming a full time theatre teacher. During her time in graduate school at the University of Houston, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago, the iO Theatre in Chicago, and the Alley Theatre in Houston. Ms. Patin has acted and directed in many community theatre productions. Her professional acting experience has been with Silent House Theatre in Waco where she starred in A Streetcar Named Desire and Reckless. During her free time, Ms. Patin enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her sweet pets. Ms. Patin is very excited to be joining the Weiss High School Theatre Team!
Baylie Head
Mrs. Head graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Theatre Education. While attending The Unveristy of Texas at Austin, she was involved in many mainstage shows, community productions on campus, and shows in the Austin area. Her performances were very well received by critics of the Austin area. After graduating, Mrs. Head taught middle school theatre for three years before she made her way home to Weiss Theatre. Mrs. Head also serves as the Social Media Coordinator for the Texas Educational Theatre Association. Since 6th grade theatre, Mrs. Head always knew she wanted to be a theatre teacher and has been fulfilling that role in the Dallas and Austin areas ever since. When not teaching or directing, she enjoys being with her basset hound Shirley, crafting, and binge watching movies and TV shows. Mrs. Head looks forward to more exciting school years with Weiss Theatre!
